HMC BV is a Dutch enterprise specialized in products and services that improve safety, quality and efficiency of maritime operations. The first CPC was delivered in 1976, and as of 1995 CPC is part of HMC's product portfolio. After a 35 year period of delivering its ship loading computer CPC to more than 2000 ships worldwide, HMC has now introduced its successor: CPC 2.0.

Industry insiders might not only relate HMC to its ship loading computers, but also to one of its other activities in the maritime and offshore sector. The relatively small and independent engineering firm specializes in transport engineering, Crew Planning systems (CrewPlan), risk analyses and innovative projects for monitoring stress and fatigue on project cargo via the Marine Quality Kit (MQK) and Hull monitoring system (Hullmos).

Besides regular engineering services HMC also provides its customers with warranty-, salvage surveys and engineering. For instance, just recently the company’s engineering department was involved in the salvage operation of the K-Wave container vessel of the coast of Spain.

HMC uses this broad range of activities in the maritime industry to develop and improve its current core product: the class approved ship loading computer CPC 2.0. With over 60 orders already placed HMC experiences a very positive response to its market introduction and expects to serve many more customers. Our upcoming release has several special features including 3D ship visualization, a user friendly container booking system with an import / export ability according to the international Baplie standards and the implementation of an automatic warning system for the placement of containers and vehicles conforming the dangerous goods cargo code.

It is HMC’s aim to supply shipping companies and ship-owners with state of the art, full-option, class-approved ship loading software for a fair no-nonsense price.
